The Search Results Area
Familiarize yourself with the search results area so that you can expand or decrease the number of search results.
Did You Mean...?
If you see no results after a search, verify the spelling is correct. Sometimes, an alternative way of spelling may generate more results.
For instance, spelling "blackbery" results in the question, "Did you mean blackberry"? Ah, yes. I click on the link and results show me that this is what I had meant.
Alternative Search
When the search results contain a small number of documents, the Search area may display options to help you expand your search under Alternative Search.
Focus Your Results
When the search results contain a large number of documents, the search results area displays options to help you refine your search under Focus Your Results. By clicking terms in this area, the search results are refined to the number of documents displayed next to the term. These area is separated into three categories:
- Activities
- Symptoms
- Versions
In the example above, clicking on Delete Email would list the four documents that are related to deleting email and the search word "storage".
Recommended Links
The Recommended Links area highlights specific documents that are relevant to your search terms, whether they are the most relevant documents, popular articles, or other pertinent information.
Search Within
In the Results area, enter one or more keywords in the Search within results field and click GO to find documents within the search results that match keyword(s).
