The BlackBerry® Application Web Loader v1.0 can simplify the deployment of
third party applications to BlackBerry devices. It provides an additional alternative to existing
over-the-air (OTA) and BlackBerry Desktop Manager methods.
Developers can centrally host applications on a company intranet or public
webserver, making it easy to post application updates for BlackBerry users to download as they
are available. By simply connecting to a PC via USB connection and visiting this hosted website,
users can load applications to their BlackBerry device without installing the BlackBerry Desktop
Manager or incurring airtime charges associated with OTA downloads.
Enabling the BlackBerry Application Web Loader on a Web Server
To enable the BlackBerry Application Web Loader on a web page, use any
scripting language that works with Internet Explorer and ActiveX.

Note: The BlackBerry Application Web Loader requires users to have Windows 2000/XP, running Internet Explorer v5.0 or greater, ActiveX v8.0 or newer, and users must have BlackBerry USB drivers installed.
