The BlackBerry® Application Web Loader v1.0 can simplify the deployment of third party applications to BlackBerry devices. It provides an alternative to using existing over-the-air (OTA) and BlackBerry Desktop Manager deployment methods.

Developers can centrally host applications on a company intranet or public web server, making it easy to post application updates for BlackBerry users to download as they become available. By simply connecting to a PC via USB connection and visiting this hosted website, users can load applications onto their BlackBerry device without installing the BlackBerry Desktop Manager or incurring airtime charges associated with OTA downloads.
