Perform one of the following methods to submit an
application using the Try & Buy license type:
Using the Static License model
- Begin a new application submission, and then
select Try & Buy as the License Type.
- In step 7 of the process, create two different releases,
and then verify that the trial bundle option Is this a trial? is
selected.
- Upload the corresponding.cod bundles to the correct release.
The trial .cod files should be with the trial release, and the full
version .cod files should be with the full release.
With the Static License model, there is no license key, so
you need to provide BlackBerry App World with the trial binaries
and the full binaries.
Using the Single, Dynamic, or Pool license models
- Begin a new application submission, and then
select Try & Buy as the License Type.
- In step 7 of the process, create one release. Upload the
.cod bundles for the application. The .cod files should be set to
expire after a certain number of days, or set the files to have
reduced functionality until a license key is entered.
With the Single, Dynamic, or Pool license models, the key
that the BlackBerry® smartphone user purchases at the end of their
trial or purchases right away unlocks the full functionality of
the application and removes the expiry date.
For both license types, BlackBerry smartphones can select Download
Trial or Purchase in the BlackBerry App World
client. | |
