IT information

BlackBerry® Maps leverages the BlackBerry® Enterprise Solution architecture to offer advanced security features, including data encryption and wireless IT policies and commands that allow IT administrators to:

• Turn the BlackBerry Maps application on and off
• Disable BlackBerry® Internet Service browsing to route data through their internal BlackBerry® Mobile Data System*
• Allow or disallow third party applications to leverage BlackBerry Maps
• Control application access to GPS data (if available on the smartphone)
