Neomar Enterprise Server to Support Siebel 7
Companies to provide secure application access via Blackberry handhelds
Chicago, IL - Neomar, a leading developer of wireless enterprise software solutions, today announced its support for Siebel 7, the seventh major release of Siebel eBusiness Applications from Siebel Systems Inc., (Nasdaq: SEBL), the world's leading provider of eBusiness applications software. Neomar plans to integrate its Neomar Enterprise Server v 3.0, the company's behind-the-firewall server solution for secure wireless applications delivery and management, with Siebel 7 within 90 days of general availability as part of its Real Mobility™ framework for wireless application support. With Siebel 7, Neomar and Siebel Systems are providing organizations with complete mobile and eBusiness solutions that increase productivity, maximize revenue and profit, and significantly enhance customer acquisition, satisfaction, and retention.
Siebel Systems enables software vendors to easily integrate solutions through its open, extensible, advanced Smart Web Architecture. Unlike rudimentary HTML clients, Siebel Smart Web Architecture combines a zero-footprint, browser-based Web client and a user interface with levels of interactivity and usability traditionally available only in Windows applications. The Siebel Smart Web Architecture enables organizations to leverage the industry's best eBusiness applications at the lowest total cost of ownership.
Siebel 7 extends the reach and functionality of Siebel Systems' industry-leading suite of integrated, multichannel eBusiness applications, enabling organizations to translate customer relationship strategy into execution by effectively aligning and rapidly integrating channels, employees and partners. Siebel 7 allows organizations to manage, synchronize and coordinate all customer touch points across the Web, call center, field sales and service personnel, and partner channels.
With its announced support for Siebel 7, Neomar is coupling its secure wireless enterprise server technology with the world's leading suite of eBusiness applications software. The Neomar Enterprise Server (NES) v 3.0, the cornerstone of Neomar's Real Mobility framework, delivers end-to-end secure wireless connectivity between corporate applications and RIM BlackBerry, Palm, and other leading handheld devices. Deployed in conjunction with the Neomar Microbrowser, the NES 3.0 provides secure, reliable data transport, improved performance, lower support costs, and a more compelling user experience for applications deployed wirelessly to handheld devices.
Neomar and Siebel Systems together offer enterprises fully integrated solutions for secure wireless access to customer and corporate information. Both companies are currently working with Aether Systems and Cingular Wireless to provide secure end-to-end connectivity between Siebel 7 applications and RIM BlackBerry handhelds via the Cingular Interactive Intelligent Network.
"Siebel 7 enables companies to integrate customer data across front- and back-office systems, operational support applications, and legacy applications in support of their mobile workforces," said W.R. "Butch" Winters, CEO of Neomar. "By combining Siebel 7 with Real Mobility, organizations can now securely integrate customer contacts across mobile and wireless channels, reduce total cost of ownership, and accelerate ROI for their mobile workforce initiatives."
Neomar's Real Mobility framework extends mobile access to mission-critical applications across multiple device platforms (such as Palm OS, Pocket PC, RIM OS, and J2ME devices) and networks. With Siebel 7, sales and service professionals can get ubiquitous access to critical customer information via the secure Internet connection provided by the Neomar Enterprise Server and Neomar Microbrowser technologies. The combined solution better equips sales and service professionals to increase customer satisfaction, enhancing the long-term value of an organization's customer relationships.
"Neomar and Siebel Systems are working together to increase the value of mobile communications to the enterprise," said Catherine Cherubino, Senior Managing Director, Software and Industry Alliances for Siebel Systems. "By working across multiple devices and networks, Neomar is helping Siebel Systems' customers to realize the value of a mobile eBusiness solution."
