Epoch Integration Adds Cyclades to Its Line of Remote Network Management Solutions
Toronto - Epoch Integration Inc., a leading provider of remote networking and fault management solutions, announced today that the company is now an authorized reseller of Cyclades Corporation's complete line of networking products. Epoch Integration adds the Cyclades line to its existing NeedTEXT Shell suite of software to provide customers with additional tools for achieving high system availability.
The Cyclades line of console servers are network appliances that allow customers to manage data centers from anywhere in the world, by providing secure in-band and out-of-band network management from a workstation. Out-of-band management provides an alternative route that is independent of the data network (WAN and/or LAN), instead using direct physical access to the management ports of network and infrastructure equipment. As a result, system administrators always have an alternative path to reach the network nodes -- even when the network is down.
NeedTEXT Shell software gives system administrators secure, command-line access to their network infrastructure from a wireless device, such as the BlackBerry Wireless Handheld from Research In Motion. For example, a system administrator that is stuck driving in highway traffic, or otherwise away from his desktop terminal, can react to a network problem by logging in to the affected system directly from his wireless device. More information about NeedTEXT Shell is available at www.needtext.net.
"These are very powerful solutions for data center managers challenged with maintaining today's sophisticated, distributed networks; we are thrilled to partner with Cyclades to offer their products," said Ramon Tavares, president of Epoch Integration. The Cyclades brand is a market reference in networking and fault management equipment, as evidenced by their installation in over 6000 customers worldwide, connecting more than 2 million devices. "This relationship is a milestone in Epoch Integration's ongoing mission to provide our customers with the tools they need to achieve maximum system uptime."
"Cyclades is excited to have Epoch Integration as a reseller of our products," said Bud Coyne, director of channel development, Cyclades Corporation. "Their focus on innovative remote network management solutions provides a compelling value proposition for data center managers."
NeedTEXT Shell and the complete line of Cyclades products are available now directly from Epoch Integration Inc.
