GoAmerica Announces Availability Of Voicestream GPRS Network For Corporate Customers
Taking Orders for iStream Modem and BlackBerry 5810 Handheld
Hackensack, NJ - GoAmerica, Inc. (Nasdaq: GOAM), a leading wireless data solutions provider, announced ahead-of-schedule today that it will begin taking orders for service on VoiceStream's GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) network tomorrow, May 15. Devices on the GPRS network include the iStream™ wireless modem (G100) and BlackBerry 5810™ Wireless Handheld. With this offering, GoAmerica's corporate customers can benefit from the greater speed and combined voice/data functionality of VoiceStream's next generation network.
As part of the agreement, first announced in March of this year, GoAmerica has included VoiceStream's network in its comprehensive suite of wireless solutions for the enterprise, offering new devices, such as the G100 and RIM's BlackBerry 5810 as well as value-added enhancements from GoAmerica's Mobile Office® product suite. Mobile Office features allow users to wirelessly send, open and view email attachments, access frequently used corporate documents and compose letters for prompt delivery via fax and email. In addition to improving the rate of data transmission, higher speed networks allow for data-rich content to be viewed more easily on a wireless device. VoiceStream's GPRS network currently provides average access speeds of 40kbps in 6,500 cities across the U.S.
