HiddenMind Technology LLC Announces Alliance with RIM to Deliver Sales Force Automation Application Using BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds
(Cary, N.C) - HiddenMind Technology, LLC, a provider of mobile software for Active Technology Enhanced™ products and services, today announced the availability of their Sales Force Automation (SFA) application operating on the BlackBerry™ platform from Research In Motion Limited (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM). This alliance provides “always available” access to important enterprise SFA applications using BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds™.
The Mobile SFA application delivers remote access to important customer data such as updated contact information, purchase history and inventory availability. Mobile SFA allows a remote sales force to add, delete, and modify customer contact information, check on inventory status, review purchase history and place new customer orders, right from their BlackBerry handhelds. Mobile sales associates have remote access to up-to-date customer data for improved responsiveness to prospects and customers, leading to increased sales productivity.
The Mobile SFA Application uses HiddenMind’s Active Technology, an innovative approach that delivers enterprise applications to wireless handheld devices. Active Technology enables mobile workers to use applications, such as Mobile SFA, independent of wireless network connectivity. Unlike common user-initiated synchronization technologies, mobile workers can continue to work on the wireless device while receiving automatic data updates without requiring distracting intervention on their part. The Mobile SFA Application runs on a range of wireless handheld devices including the BlackBerry 950™ and BlackBerry 957™.
“We are excited to form an alliance with RIM that will leverage our Active technology, transforming SFA into an “always available” application to meet the dynamic needs of the wireless marketplace,” said Ken Walters, CEO for HiddenMind. “This is just one of the many mobile applications that are being developed for the BlackBerry platform, empowering a remote workforce with the tools they need for remote decision making and improved customer interactions.”
“RIM is dedicated to working with innovative software companies like HiddenMind that expand the functionality of the BlackBerry platform and empower the mobile workforce,” said Mark Guibert, Vice President, Brand Management at Research In Motion. “Together, HiddenMind and RIM are providing a solution that can help improve customer responsiveness and sales productivity with wireless access to SFA applications.”

About HiddenMind
HiddenMind's patent-pending Active Technology enables Systems Integrators, Application Developers, VARs and Hardware companies to quickly enhance their existing and future offerings with sophisticated mobile services. Active Technology enhances the products and services of these companies for delivery over wired and unwired, WAN and LAN networks while shielding their developers from the complexities of network communications: frequently disconnected networks, low-bandwidth, high-latency and multiple networks and protocols. Unlike synching, a solution originally designed for wired and dialup networks, Active Technology was made to resolve these network challenges, offering the advantages of Enhanced Reliable Messaging™ in a familiar and simplified programming model. HiddenMind's partner companies use Active Technology to mobilize applications and web services in an offline and online environment while saving time and product development costs over other approaches. End users of Active Technology Enhanced™ products benefit from "always active" applications that are optimized for maximum productivity and reliable communications over a wide array of networks and devices.
