Retrieval Dynamics and Research In Motion Join Forces
Sarasota, FL - Retrieval Dynamics Corp. (RDC), a provider of mobile application services that boost business productivity, today announced that it has signed a BlackBerry™ ISV Alliance Agreement with Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSE: RIM). The agreement will enable Retrieval Dynamics to optimize its current wireless applications for the popular BlackBerry Wireless Handheld™ and provide new solutions designed for RIM's enterprise customers.
Members of RIM's alliance program provide enterprise-level software products and work with RIM to implement strategic marketing plans for their BlackBerry applications.
Under the program, Retrieval Dynamics will work with RIM to customize the interface for DocLYNX Lite, RDC's real estate industry application. DocLYNX Lite lets real estate professionals access valuable real-time Multiple Listing Service (MLS) information and search multiple MLS databases via wireless email using BlackBerry handhelds.
Retrieval Dynamics also will optimize its wireless file delivery service, Qxprint, for BlackBerry users and educate them about its capabilities. The Web-based "pay-as-you-go" service provides "remote control" customized document printing and delivery via fax, the U.S. Postal Service or FedEx. The service supports email as well. Subscribers can register for the service and upload documents from their computers at the free document storage/contact management site (http://www.qxprint.com).
"BlackBerry is one of the world's most popular wireless productivity tools and joining with RIM will provide us with tremendous opportunities to offer products that will increase its value," said John Harkola, Retrieval Dynamics' CEO. "This is a very significant relationship for us."
