HiddenMind® Technology Announces Support For Mobile Applications On Java-Based BlackBerry 6200 Wireless Handhelds™

New Orleans, LA and Cary, NC - HiddenMind Technology, LLC today announced mobile enterprise application support for the recently released Java-based BlackBerry 6200 Series Wireless Handhelds. This new functionality from HiddenMind extends "always available" access to enterprise applications for the entire family of BlackBerry® handhelds operating on the BlackBerry wireless platform from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM).

The combined solution uses HiddenMind's mobility platform with Active Technology™, an innovative approach to quickly deploying mobile interfaces for web services, legacy data and applications on Unix or Windows servers. Active Technology and the BlackBerry 6200 Series offer a fully integrated voice and data solution that enables the wireless enterprise through wireless access to information and process.

"The BlackBerry 6200 Series is an impressive handheld that offers robust support for both phone and data applications," said Kristopher Tyra, CTO of HiddenMind. "Through Active Technology we extend the BlackBerry solution's capabilities with additional access to enterprise applications, web services and legacy data and applications. This combination is a significant step in bringing the wireless enterprise to fruition."

The HiddenMind platform allows enterprises, systems integrators, application developers and network carriers to deploy a wireless solution that empowers mobile employees with access to sales force automation, customer resource management, field service or other applications from their BlackBerry handhelds. Active Technology enables those mobile workers to use these applications independent of wireless network connectivity. Unlike common user-initiated synchronization technologies, mobile workers can continue to work on the wireless handheld while receiving automatic data updates without requiring distracting intervention on their part.

"BlackBerry is the leading wireless platform for enterprise connectivity and provides customers and developers with the right architecture and infrastructure to go beyond wireless email and phone services," said Mark Guibert, Vice President, Brand Management at Research In Motion. "Using secure connectivity via the Mobile Data Service feature of BlackBerry Enterprise Server, HiddenMind's Active Technology helps connect the mobile workforce to applications and data that make a difference in the field."

Active Technology is now compatible with the entire family of BlackBerry handhelds including the BlackBerry 850-950/857/957 models and BlackBerry 5800/6200/6500/6700 Series models.
