InterNoded to Provide Customized Wireless Communication Capabilities at the Deutsche Bank Championship

BlackBerry Email Communication and Custom-built Leaderboard Application to Tournament Staff

Waltham, MA - InterNoded, a leading managed service provider and IBM Premier Business Partner, today announced that it will be providing wireless communication capabilities at the Deutsche Bank Championship, taking place August 26 through September 1 at the Tournament Players Club (TPC) of Boston. As a result, event staff and volunteers will be able to communicate via email and take advantage of InterNoded's customized leaderboard application via top-of-the-line BlackBerry handhelds.

Available on Research In Motion's (RIM) new color-screen BlackBerry 7210™ handhelds, which are among the first to be available in the United States, InterNoded's customized leaderboard application was developed using the company's proprietary programming method along with the benefits of RIM's server technology. The application enables features like player information screens with high-resolution graphics of each player to be transmitted 3-4 times faster using RIM's Mobile Data Service and InterNoded's programming expertise. As a result, tournament staff and volunteers are able to have up-to the second details on tournament status and communicate with each other via eMail.

Using IBM's Lotus iNotes for the back-end, InterNoded will be providing 150 BlackBerry handhelds, per day, to volunteers, staff, spectators and sponsors, enabling them to communicate with each other at the event and with other contacts that are off-site. Further, InterNoded's new leaderboard offers an exciting application demonstrating the capability to develop and deploy content, data and media rich applications to next-generation BlackBerry handhelds. This type of application will be critical to support the ongoing adoption of always-on mobile computing at the enterprise level.
