Aeroprise Provides True Mobility for Service Management Applications with BlackBerry

IT Managers and field technicians improve customer service while reducing support costs with wireless access to critical applications

Mountain View, CA - Aeroprise, Inc. and Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today announced that users of BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds™ now have the power of Aeroprise Mobile Workflow Management for Service Management applications. Enterprises spend millions annually on applications to support and extend critical IT infrastructure, yet they are underutilized because they can only be accessed from desktops.

Service technicians who rely on these applications work in the field, causing what is known as a “Problem Resolution Gap” which leads to missed service level agreements and expense leaks. Together, Aeroprise and RIM are eliminating the Problem Resolution Gap with a combination of wireless connectivity and end user personalization. This proven approach is reducing support costs, improving customer service, and increasing employee productivity for joint customers today.

According to Joanne Mansur from Northeastern University, “Using Aeroprise to interact with our Remedy applications on BlackBerrys enables our IT technicians to respond more quickly to problems as they occur across campus. Aeroprise Alerts let our IT managers gain immediate and accurate insight into critical events. This helps them make informed decisions and it helps our organization provide the best possible support to our customers.” Other customers using Aeroprise with BlackBerry include the Federal Communications Commission, Safeway, Associated Mediabase in Europe, the University of San Francisco, Research In Motion, and Remedy.

To execute on the goals of the partnership, Aeroprise has joined RIM’s BlackBerry® ISV Alliance program. Applications supported include products from Remedy®, a BMC Software company (NYSE: BMC), and Heat® from FrontRange Solutions. Aeroprise selected BlackBerry because of its broad support within global enterprises and strong track record for wireless innovation. As a result of the relationship, BlackBerry users can securely access and interact with their enterprise applications online and offline.

Aeroprise has garnered praise recently in publications including Wireless Week, Mobile Enterprise magazine, and Support World Europe for having “cracked the wireless code” that has delayed the proliferation of wireless in the enterprise. Aeroprise has achieved its leadership position in the mobile workflow management space through key technical achievements including end-user personalization and automatic device optimization. The relationship provides joint customers with access to award-winning mobile solutions and it affirms the companies’ commitment to support and enhance the integrated product suite.

"RIM works with innovative software companies like Aeroprise to help our customers extend their enterprise applications to wireless environments via BlackBerry,” said Mark Guibert, Vice President, Corporate Marketing at Research In Motion. "With the Aeroprise Mobile Gateway and BlackBerry, IT technicians and managers can stay connected to their Service Management applications, enabling them to significantly improve customer support and IT productivity.”

According to Dan Turchin, Chief Executive Officer of Aeroprise, “Our relationship with RIM is the result of two strong, innovative organizations teaming up to add value for customers. We’re encouraged by the positive feedback we’re receiving from end-users and we look forward to enhancing our integration with BlackBerry in the years ahead. The pace of adoption of enterprise wireless solutions has increased dramatically. Aeroprise is proud to be at the forefront of this exciting trend."
