Indosat and Research In Motion Introduce BlackBerry in Indonesia for the First Time

The BlackBerry 7730 Wireless Handheld ™ connects business users to information and people while on the go

Jakarta, Indonesia and Waterloo, Canada - Indosat (JSX:ISAT; NYSE:IIT) and Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today introduced the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution™   for the first time in Indonesia. The BlackBerry 7730 Wireless Handheld™ is available immediately. The Java™-based BlackBerry 7730™ features a large, bright, color screen, supports international roaming* on GSM/GPRS networks and delivers wireless access to corporate email, data, phone, SMS, Internet and organizer applications.

  • 16 MB flash memory plus 2 MB SRAM, rechargeable/removable lithium battery and Universal Serial Bus (USB) connectivity for quick battery charging.
  • A pocket-sized, lightweight and ergonomic handheld design, with an embedded RIM wireless modem and internal high performance antenna.

For corporate customers, BlackBerry Enterprise Server™ software tightly integrates with Microsoft® Exchange or IBM Lotus® Domino™ to enable secure, push-based, wireless access to corporate email, data and PIM (personal information management) features.
