Epoch Integration Announces New Windows Management Features For ASG-MobileControl Network Management Software

New features include ability to manage BlackBerry Enterprise Server and Microsoft Active Directory via BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds

Wireless Enterprise Symposium – Chicago, IL - Epoch Integration Inc., a leading provider of network management products, today announced the availability of version 3.11/SP1 of ASG-MobileControl for Windows. The software now includes several new features that allow IT professionals to manage all of their Windows-based services via BlackBerry®, from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM).

ASG-MobileControl for Windows, provided by Epoch Integration under license from ASG, is a leading solution for secure management of Windows-based infrastructure systems from wireless devices such as BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds™. Using the software, system administrators can connect to their systems while they are away from their desktop and perform many of the common management tasks required to keep their Windows network operational. As a result, ASG-MobileControl for Windows significantly decreases elapsed time-to-repair for network incidents, which has a direct impact on reducing the costs of system downtime in customer organizations.

With the latest version of ASG-MobileControl for Windows, administrators have access to several new features for management of Windows-based infrastructure systems, including:

Microsoft Active Directory: From any location in the Active Directory tree, administrators can create objects, or manage and edit existing objects, through full access to the default root directory of Windows 2000 / 2003 servers.

Microsoft Exchange: Administrators can now create and manage Exchange users remotely, along with managing the physical Exchange servers including Storage Groups and Queues (i.e. Freeze, Thaw and Force Connections).

Microsoft Terminal Services: Administrators can view and manage all Current Users and Processes on the Terminal Server and view their current state for RDP and ICA connections.

BlackBerry Enterprise Server™: Administrators can manage the Mobile Data Service feature of BlackBerry Enterprise Server to add and remove users, and manage and edit BlackBerry Enterprise Server properties.

ASG-MobileControl for Windows inherits the existing Windows NT user rights and permissions of the customer organization, making deployment of the software hassle-free. The user interface is web-based and accessible from any wireless device web browser, such as the BlackBerry browser. For BlackBerry users, ASG-MobileControl for Windows therefore leverages the infrastructure already in place for wireless access to email and corporate data.

"With these new features, ASG-MobileControl becomes even more compelling as a solution for Windows administrators that need full access to their infrastructure systems while away from their desk," said Gregg Fleet, director of sales, Epoch Integration. "We have successfully taken the feedback from our existing customers and collaborated with our partner, ASG, to build the requested enhancements into this version of the product."

"BlackBerry and ASG-MobileControl provide IT administrators with the tools needed to effectively and wirelessly manage their Windows-based equipment and applications," said Mark Guibert, Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Research In Motion. "With the BlackBerry/ASG-MobileControl solution, IT administrators maintain network monitoring and management capabilities to help keep their corporate infrastructure running smoothly while they’re out of the office."

ASG-MobileControl for Windows is affordably priced for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as branch divisions of larger enterprises. More product information and evaluation versions of the software are available at www.needtext.net/mobilecontrol.

Epoch Integration is demonstrating ASG-MobileControl for Windows at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium conference in Chicago from March 18-19, 2004 in booth #131.
