Octanewave Software Selects eTools™ Library From DynoPlex, Inc.
Enhancements to Enterprise Mobility Platform Give BlackBerry® Users Familiar Rich User Interface for Enterprise Data
New York, NY and Toronto, ON - DynoPlex, Inc., a leading developer of productivity applications and custom enterprise solutions for the BlackBerry® wireless platform from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM), and Octanewave Software Inc., a provider of enterprise mobility software, today announced that they have entered into a licensing agreement, under which Octanewave will employ DynoPlex's eTools™ Components Library to create a familiar rich user interface that will reduce the complexity of navigation for applications that access enterprise data via BlackBerry.
"The market rapidly adopted BlackBerry for email because it is secure, reliable and easy-to-use," said Zoran Ivanovic, Chief Technology Officer for Octanewave. "Customers are now also asking for applications that access structured information, such as sales orders, work orders, or customer information. By integrating DynoPlex's eTools and BlackBerry Enterprise Server with our Enterprise Mobility Platform, we can now provide BlackBerry users with the access to structured enterprise data they're looking for, and with applications that offer a rich and easy user experience."
DynoPlex's eTools™ Library provides developers with a comprehensive set of user interface controls, enabling the creation of a rich, intuitive and functional user interface. At the same time, eTools dramatically reduce development time by providing an advanced file management system; standard controls for selecting, opening and closing files; application and document type registration APIs; application launch APIs, and much more.
"We're very pleased that Octanewave has chosen eTools™ to enhance its position as a leader in enterprise mobility," said Sergey Fradkov, co-founder, DynoPlex. "eTools represent a wealth of experience that we've gained in dozens of development projects, and recognition from one of the industry's leaders further validates our approach."
"Demand for wireless enterprise applications continues to grow and Octanewave and DynoPlex are working together to enhance the user experience of these applications," said Mark Guibert, Vice President, Corporate Marketing at Research In Motion. "Effective interface design is particularly important for mobile applications and can have a significant impact on adoption and productivity."
Octanewave's Enterprise Mobility Platform moves data seamlessly between enterprise systems and mobile employees with 'always-on' mobile applications that support mission-critical business functions. The Octanewave model-driven architecture ensures that mobility applications operate independently of the underlying network and technology infrastructure on any combination of devices, including BlackBerry handhelds.
