itrezzo Self Service Updates Enable Individuals to Update Personal Contact Information
IT Administrator's Burden of Updating Staff Contact Information Reduced
Campbell, CA - itrezzo, a leading third party developer for BlackBerry® from Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM) (TSX: RIM), today introduced Self Service Updates for their Emergency Preparedness Software (EPS). Self Service Updates allow individuals to modify their own contact information so that it is updated on handhelds throughout the enterprise without requiring the IT department to make these changes. EPS will also send a notice to all recipients of this information, indicating that a change has been made.
EPS saves handheld and PIM users' time by managing their business contacts through automation of the synchronization activity. EPS specifically manages BlackBerry PIN, Nextel DCID and telephone data for the purpose of improving daily and emergency communications. On a predetermined schedule, EPS updates user contacts stored in mailbox servers located anywhere within the organization.
"We realized the enormous time savings by enabling employees to personally update their own contact information," commented itrezzo CEO Tim Koltek. "This is a major advancement in reducing the effort to manage enterprise contacts."
EPS provides organizations with accurate, up-to-date, contact information, ensuring that they have the right information on any given day. Organizations that stand to benefit from EPS are:
- Those with large PDA deployments.
- Organizations that use SMS or Nextel Direct Connect.
- Enterprises with Business Continuity requirements.
- Federal, state and local departments that must meet COOP requirements.
The Self Service Updates will be available at the beginning of the 3rd quarter of 2004. EPS works with all PDA's and wireless devices that synchronize with Outlook and Microsoft® Exchange. For a free 30 day trial please call 800-772-3805.
