ATSG adds Wireless Inspection Manager® to Company's BlackBerry® Applications Portfolio
WIRELESS ENTERPRISE SYMPOSIUM – Orlando, FL - Advanced Technologies Support Group, Inc. (ATSG), the full service BlackBerry® integrator, announces the addition of Wireless Inspection Manager to its evolving portfolio of new business applications for the BlackBerry wireless platform from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM). ATSG’s Construction Quality Manager (CQM), a wireless software application for homebuilders, launched earlier this year at the International Builders Show in Orlando. ATSG will premiere Wireless Inspection Manager at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium, April 19-21, 2005, also in Orlando. Both ATSG applications are powered by Flowfinity™ software.
While the federal government and the financial investment communities rank among the heaviest BlackBerry users, industry segments such as hospitals, hotels, construction, service, and manufacturers are among a growing customer base, creating a market for new business applications. Responding to the fast emerging diversity of users, Wireless Inspection Manager is uniquely adaptable to any industry. It provides timely field communications for dispatch, data capture, and reporting functions.
The Wireless Inspection Manager is quickly configured and deployed to support specific business processes, usually in less than one month. It provides the following functions and benefits:
- Wireless Dispatch – Assigns tasks to remote workers. Managers can send assignment instructions, critical information and specific forms to workers in the field.
- Wireless Data Capture – Reduces or eliminates paperwork. Inspectors can use their handheld device to complete inspection forms. Checkboxes, radio buttons, and dropdown selection lists minimize keying of data and maximize accuracy. Results are wirelessly transmitted to the central server for processing, reporting and follow-up.
- Management Reporting – Improves and ensures effective operations. Managers use timely reports to manage field operations. Inspection results are stored in a relational database for summary level analysis and detail reporting. Custom reports are generated providing valuable information.
- Data Update -- The solution includes a database configured to manage wireless inspection data received from the field.
ATSG client-specific customization of the Wireless Inspection Manager application includes:
- Developing business- and industry-specific forms for completing inspections using BlackBerry
- Tailoring workstation screens for the dispatcher
- Tailoring the Inspection database
- Developing custom management reports
- Integration of the application with existing systems and databases
