Flowfinity Wireless launches branded program for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs)
"Powered by Flowfinity" Alliance Program Enables ISVs to Build Deep, Differentiated Wireless Products Based on Flowfinity’s Platform Technology
Wireless Enterprise Symposium, Orlando, Florida and Vancouver, BC, Canada - Flowfinity Wireless, a leading provider of wireless application products and platforms, today formally launched the ‘Powered by Flowfinity’ branded program for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). In the last year, Flowfinity has designed new capabilities into its platform that enable ISV’s to shorten development time and improve usability while reducing the risk and complexity associated with wireless development. These advances provide a powerful value proposition for Microsoft Windows ISVs who wish to capitalize on Microsoft .NET and the BlackBerry platform from Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM); (TSX: RIM).
“ISVs need the ability to develop differentiated products with deep functionality, and they have competitive pressures to deliver wireless products without having to change their development approach” said Dmitry Mikhailov, CEO of Flowfinity Wireless. "Business application developers value our platform because not only does it allow them to use Microsoft Visual Studio, but also because it provides pre-built user interface logic to support complex mobile workflows and automates reliable access to data, even when offline. We designed the platform to enable them to go to market quickly with competitive capability."
The Flowfinity technology platform has been used by systems integrators since 2002 and has proven to be an effective approach to develop enterprise applications that are deployed to BlackBerry wireless handhelds. Development teams around the world have embraced this alternative to Java programming.
ATSG, CGI, Tectura, and TenDigits are "Powered by Flowfinity" partners that are currently shipping products, and CG4 Solutions recently joined this branded program. Both ATSG and TenDigits are launching new products at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium 2005 in Orlando, a conference hosted by RIM.
