Azaleos Adds support for the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution and Managed Mobile Services to OneServer Product Family
OneServer with MobileXchange delivers managed, highly reliable turnkey solution for enterprises using BlackBerry smartphones
REDMOND, Wash., - Azaleos® Corporation (www.azaleos.com), leading provider of turnkey, on-premises, managed solutions for Microsoft Exchange environments, today announced the new OneServer® for MobileXchange that delivers a highly reliable, monitored and managed remote access solution for enterprises using BlackBerry® smartphones.
The OneServer for MobileXchange is supported by a new set of OneStop™ Services, providing IT departments real-time visualization, reporting and monitoring of their BlackBerry® Enterprise Server for Microsoft® Exchange and smartphones, while delivering service-level-backed 24x7 reliability for their mobile access environment.
“Many organizations are seeking a way to provide their employees immediate access to e-mail and real-time application data from BlackBerry smartphones,” said Peter Henley, IT Director of Clark Nuber. “By offering managed support for BlackBerry smartphones in a turnkey solution, Azaleos is delivering IT departments a solution that reduces the costs to support one of the most used mobile devices in the industry.”
MobileXchange gives IT departments the ability to better manage BlackBerry smartphones and Microsoft Exchange systems, reporting on health and availability from a Web support portal that also provides monthly usage reports and real time IT infrastructure analysis. MobileXchange can also leverage the BlackBerry Enterprise Server capabilities to enforce technology policies throughout an organization such as role/group based device lock-down, the ability to wipe data from lost or stolen devices and the ability to define and enforce security settings such as Bluetooth lockout and controlled access to voice calling.
By integrating MobileXchange into an on-premise solution, Azaleos enables IT organizations to rapidly deploy BlackBerry Enterprise Server functionality in their own datacenters, while relying on Azaleos OneStop services to maintain, monitor and manage the solution and key mobile access infrastructure seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
The MobileXchange service provides managed, monitored access to key enterprise information including:
- Microsoft Exchange inbox, calendar, contacts, tasks and public folders
- Microsoft Office Communicator and Live Communications Server (LCS) instant messaging and collaboration
- Web-based, Java™ ME and Web Services, and .NET applications
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications and systems
“The increased use of mobile devices from multiple vendors within a single company has created a need to support access to Microsoft Exchange and other business applications anywhere, any time and from any device — in a highly reliable manner,” said Keith McCall, chief technology officer and co-founder of Azaleos. “Our customers have repeatedly asked us to extend 24x7 managed support from Microsoft Exchange to their BlackBerry smartphone mobile access infrastructure and we’ve responded with MobileXchange, enabling end users to reliably access not only Exchange but also a number of business-critical applications from their smartphone.”
The beta version of Azaleos OneServer for MobileXchange will be available July 10, 2007, with worldwide availability scheduled for the third quarter of 2007. Customers interested in purchasing the solution should contact Azaleos at http://www.azaleos.com.
