U.S. Army to Reap Benefits of Research In Motion's BlackBerry Wireless Email Solution

Intelligent Decisions First to Offer Army Portable-3 Contract for Secure, 'Always On, Always Connected™' Wireless Email Solution

Waterloo, Ontario - At the Army PSR show in Orlando, Fla. today, Research In Motion Limited (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSE: RIM), a world leader in the mobile communications market, announced that Intelligent Decisions is the first to offer the BlackBerry™ wireless email solution for purchase on its Army Portable-3 contract. The Portable-3 contract enables Army customers to utilize an established and preferred procurement process for all IT related portable products. Intelligent Decisions is a systems integrator that specializes in delivering IT solutions to customers in the federal government, including many in the intelligence community.

BlackBerry is an end-to-end wireless email solution designed to allow mobile users email access wherever they go. BlackBerry features a completely integrated package that includes the industry's most advanced wireless handhelds, innovative software and nationwide airtime on leading wireless data networks. When purchasing BlackBerry, Army Portable-3 users are offered a choice of two wireless handhelds including the RIM 950 Wireless Handheld™ (pager-sized) and the RIM 957 Wireless Handheld™ (palm-sized).

The BlackBerry wireless email solution can be purchased from Intelligent Decisions via Army Portable-3 (DAAB15-99-D-0011) IDIQ contract, which is available to the U.S. Army, DoD agencies and all Federal Civilian agencies. The Portable-3 contract is managed by the US Army Small Computers Program office in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey by CECOM Acquisition Center, Washington, a division of the US Army. Intelligent Decisions also offers the BlackBerry wireless email solution to government customers via the NIH ECS II contract.
