About BlackBerry
BlackBerry Exchange Edition distinguishes itself based on eight areas critical for a corporate wireless email solution:
- Completely Wireless Handheld: BlackBerry handhelds include the most advanced wireless technology - completely embedded. There's no modem or phone to attach and no antenna to raise. Just one sleek and powerful wireless handheld.
- Integration With Existing Email: BlackBerry integrates seamlessly with corporate email systems, providing a wireless extension to your corporate mailbox. You can keep your existing email address and send, receive, file or delete your email while on the go.
- 'Always On, Always Connected': BlackBerry handhelds are designed to remain on and continuously connected to the wireless network so email can be automatically delivered to your handheld. No effort required.
- Easy-To-Use: Every element of the BlackBerry solution has been designed to be intuitive, quick and easy-to-use. If you can use email, you can use BlackBerry - it's just that simple.
- Advanced Security: BlackBerry supports an industry-leading security standard called Triple DES (Data Encryption Standard) to meet corporate security requirements for remote email access. Since Triple DES is considered unbreakable, you can feel confident about sending and receiving confidential information wherever you go.
- IT Friendly: BlackBerry also supplies powerful server software that integrates with your existing corporate email system. It offers your IT team the benefit of centralized administration and support and keeps your company's information systems running smoothly.
- End-to-End Solution: BlackBerry is the only totally integrated package that includes wireless handhelds, desktop tools, server software and nationwide airtime. It's everything a corporation needs in a wireless email solution.
- Reliable Wireless Network: The unique Rogers AT&T Mobitex network, built by Ericsson, provides a secure, reliable, two-way digital wireless packet data transmission service ideal for a variety of data communication solutions. Mobitex is recognized as an international data transmission standard and operates in over 40 countries worldwide.
