OracleMobile and Research In Motion Partner To Deliver the Internet to BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds

Redwood Shores, California and Waterloo, Ontario - OracleMobile, a subsidiary of Oracle Corp. focused on the wireless Internet industry, and Research In Motion Limited (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSE: RIM), a world leader in the mobile communications market, today announced a joint-marketing partnership. The companies plan to work together to promote Ask@OracleMobile via BlackBerry™, an award-winning wireless email solution for mobile professionals. Ask@OracleMobile is a new wireless service which provides access to valuable Internet content from any two-way wireless messaging device (see separate release).

To use the service, users simply send an email from their BlackBerry wireless handheld to "ask@oraclemobile.com" using keywords to define their request. The easy-to-use email interface is a natural fit with the BlackBerry wireless email solution. OracleMobile™ and RIM plan to work together on a variety of marketing activities to jointly promote the powerful combination of Ask@OracleMobile and BlackBerry in both business and consumer markets.
