Rogers AT&T Wireless First To Launch New, Revolutionary BlackBerry 6710 With Integrated Voice and Data In North America
Rogers AT&T Wireless Customers Can Make and Receive Voice Calls With Integrated Speaker and Microphone Using New BlackBerry 6710; Support For Personal E-mail Accounts Also Added Via BlackBerry Web Client
Toronto, ON and Waterloo, ON - Rogers™ AT&T™ Wireless and Research In Motion Limited (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX; RIM) today announced the commercial availability of a new Java-based BlackBerry Wireless Handheld™ for the industry-leading Rogers AT&T Wireless GSM/GPRS network in Canada. The BlackBerry 6710™; from Rogers AT&T Wireless offers a completely new voice experience for BlackBerry customers. Equipped with new features including an integrated speaker/microphone, world band frequency support and a removable/rechargeable battery, this new BlackBerry handheld provides Rogers AT&T Wireless customers with greater flexibility and convenience for making and receiving wireless phone calls.
The new BlackBerry 6710 gives Rogers AT&T Wireless customers the choice to make and receive wireless phone calls by holding the device to their ear or using the headset. The optional headset allows safe, hands-free wireless calls or simultaneous use of other BlackBerry 6710 applications such as e-mail and personal organizer.

BlackBerry 6710 features include:
- Integrated speaker/microphone
- World band handheld operating on 900/1900 MHz networks in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific*
- Integrated wireless services: email, phone, Internet and two-way text messaging
- Removable/rechargeable Lithium battery with approximately 4 hours of talk time, 10 days of standby time and 3 to 4 days of voice/data usage time
- 1 MB SRAM, 8MB Flash
- Backlit keyboard and screen
- Plug-in SIM card
- Cradle and travel charger for synchronization and recharging
- Headset with answer/hang-up button
Also new for the BlackBerry 6710 and the BlackBerry 5810 from Rogers AT&T Wireless is BlackBerry Web Client. BlackBerry Web Client is a new web-based application that enables Rogers AT&T Wireless customers to access multiple existing e-mail accounts, including ISP (Internet Service Provider) accounts, from a single BlackBerry handheld. BlackBerry Web Client provides support to Rogers AT&T Wireless customers who do not currently use Microsoft™ Exchange or Lotus™ Domino™, as well as customers who wish to access personal e-mail accounts in addition to their office e-mail.
The BlackBerry 6710 costs $749.00 CDN and is available for purchase across Canada through Rogers AT&T Wireless Corporate Sales channels and select dealer and retail locations, or online at www.rogers.com.
