Dobson Communications To Offer BlackBerry® In The United States

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Waterloo, Ontario - Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) and Dobson Communications (Nasdaq: DCEL) today announced the launch of the BlackBerry® wireless platform to rural professionals in the United States.   BlackBerry features integrated support for email, phone, SMS, browser and organizer applications and feature optimized keyboards ideal for composing and responding quickly to messages.  BlackBerry will operate on Dobson Communications’ GSM/GPRS network.*

For corporate customers, BlackBerry Enterprise Server™ software tightly integrates with Microsoft® Exchange or IBM Lotus® Domino™ (Novell GroupWise support is expected to be available later this year) to enable secure, push-based, wireless access to email and other corporate data.

For individuals and smaller businesses, BlackBerry Internet Service™ allows users to access up to ten corporate and/or personal email accounts (including Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino and many popular ISP email accounts) from a single device.
