BlackBerry® Keeps Australian Leaders Connected

Research In Motion Provides BlackBerry Wireless Platform to The Australian Leadership Retreat

Sydney, Australia - Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today announced that BlackBerry® will be the major wireless communication & information platform at The Australian Leadership Retreat at Hayman Island, Queensland, Australia, from 27th to 29th August.

Delegates will receive a sleek and compact BlackBerry Wireless Handheld™ operating on the Telstra GSM/GPRS network. As the premier communication tool during the retreat, BlackBerry will provide delegates with integrated wireless access to a range of applications including email, phone, business data, Internet, SMS and personal information management. Program schedule, key contacts, updated information and conference correspondence will also be managed via the handhelds using the unique BlackBerry "push" technology.

The Australian Leadership Retreat, an annual three-day gathering organized by the Australian Davos Connection (ADC), will host prominent business and political leaders.
