Credit Card Purchasing New in BlackBerry App World 2.0
With the new BlackBerry App World™ 2.0 you can now purchase apps with a major credit card. This and other new features mark this as a major upgrade. (Download it here.) We have been trying it out and love the experience.
Pay by credit card
The first thing to know is that you can now purchase apps by major credit card (including MasterCard and Visa), in addition to the original PayPal® method. You can enter and save your credit card information for all future payments.

Bill to your account
Some carriers like AT&T will also now let you bill app purchases to your cell phone account. Expect more carriers to roll out the option in the future.
To access the new billing options, simply log in and choose ‘Payment Options’ from the menu. You can designate only one method at a time; however, you can change your selection at any time.
New: BlackBerry® ID helps you manage content
When you first download or purchase an app in BlackBerry App World 2.0 you will be prompted to create a new BlackBerry ID—a new user identification feature. With it you can purchase and download apps and manage them in My World.
Discover new apps by scanning barcodes
Barcode scanning is a new feature. It works like this: Let's say you are reading a print magazine article about a travel app you want to try. You notice that the article includes a square barcode that references the travel app in BlackBerry App World. From within BlackBerry App World, select Scan a Bar Code from the menu, and then point your BlackBerry smartphone camera at it to scan. You will then be taken to the app's page in BlackBerry App World. This can be a big time saver compared to typing the app's URL into your browser.
