Scott Campbell has a tattoo for you…and your BlackBerry smartphone

Scott Campbell, the resident tattoo artist at Saved Tattoo, was born and raised in a 3 room fishing camp, perched alongside a muddy bayou in rural Louisiana. The unique aesthetic and unconventional approach he brought to tattooing opened up doors to Scott all over the world, and he would gather inspiration from tattoo shops, museums, and artists all across Europe, Asia, and Central and South America. After returning to the States, Scott realized that California couldn't offer the stimulus he had become accustomed to during his travels, and nothing shy of New York would be acceptable.

Scott's is aesthetically unique to the art world, and certainly unique to the tattoo industry. He draws heavily from an interest in antique typography, decorative ornamentation, antique advertising, and Japanese art. His attention to detail, and precision in his art and tattoos is unrelenting, and at times maniacal. Recognition of his dedication to perfection has brought him a devout clientele. Aside from running Saved Tattoo in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Campbell frequently delves into graphic design and illustration. He has created several logos and identities for various companies big and small. He also does freelance for ad agencies in New York City, faux tattoos and special effects makeup for film and print.
