Voice Note

Record and send a voice note

  • 1. In the voice notes application, click OK.
  • 2. Record a voice note.
  • 3. To pause recording, click the trackball or trackwheel. To resume recording,
        press the Escape key.
  • 4. When you finish recording, click the trackball (or trackwheel).
  • 5. Click Send as MMS. Or you can save your voice note file to an SD card or to
        device memory.

Create Your Own Conference Call

Create your own conference call with your BlackBerry smartphone without a separate conference call service. It's so easy and fast. (Note: Please check with your wireless service provider to see if you can have more than 3 numbers connected on a single call.)

Follow these steps to make your own conference call:

  • 1. During a call, press the Send key.
  • 2. Type a phone number or highlight a contact.
  • 3. Press the Send key.
  • 4. During the second call, press the Menu key.
  • 5. Click Join.

Note: When you add more than two numbers to a conference call, place the conference call on hold before you call the next phone number

To join another contact to the call, repeat steps 2 to 6 (if your carrier allows)

Speak privately with a contact during a conference call

During a conference call, press the Menu key.

  • Click Split Call.
  • Click a contact.

Setting up a Speed Dial key

Record and send a voice note
You can record and send voice notes that are up to a minute long.

  • 1. In the phone application, press the Menu key.
  • 2. Click View Speed Dial List.
  • 3. Click an unassigned key that you want to use for this speed dial.
  • 4. Click New Speed Dial.
  • 5. Click a contact. You're done!

Shortcuts

These handy shortcuts let you access any part of your BlackBerry smartphone from your home screen.

Simply follow these simple steps
Note: to do this you'll need to disable dialing from the home screen:

• Highlight phone icon > click trackball/wheel > OR press the green Send key
• Select > "options" from the popup menu >
• Select General Options >
• Change "dial from home screen" to "No" > press the Return key
• Save changes > return to Home screen

You will now be able to access applications by simply typing in the corresponding letter:

W > Wap Browser
O > Options
A > Address Book
D > Notes
H > Help
L > Calendar
M > Messages
B > Browser
N > BlackBerry Messenger
C > Compose
