public interface ReaderStatusListener

An interface which allows an application to listen to the status of readers. This includes updates when a smartcard is inserted or removed from the reader. The listener should register with the appropriate SmartCardReader to get reader status updates.

readerStatus

void readerStatus(SmartCardReader reader,
                  int status)
This method is called to update the status of the reader.

When SmartCardReader.addListener() is called, readerStatus() will be called to indicate the starting status of the card ( ReaderStatus.CARD_PRESENT or ReaderStatus.CARD_ABSENT ). When there is a change in the reader status, for example the card is inserted or removed this method is called with the appropriate status ( ReaderStatus.CARD_INSERTED or ReaderStatus.CARD_REMOVED ).

Parameters:
status - The current status of the reader. Valid values are defined in ReaderStatus.
