About the Program
The Women in Cyber Leadership Program is a high-impact leadership program designed to advance the careers of women in cybersecurity and digital risk across the ASEAN region.
Over five intensive days, participants will explore cybersecurity strategy, digital risk management, and executive leadership. Through lectures, panels, interactive workshops, and group projects, the program fosters the technical insight, confidence, and communication skills needed to lead in today’s evolving digital threat landscape.
Delivered in partnership by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and BlackBerry's Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCoE), Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst, and the Government of Canada, the program builds a connected, capable, and diverse community of women leaders ready to shape the region’s cyber future.

Program Structure
Program Dates: January 11 – 17, 2027
Location: BlackBerry Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, Cyberjaya, Malaysia
Format: Fully in person, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily, with evening networking receptions and dinners on select days.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
Be women who are citizens or long-term residents of an ASEAN member state, and who are currently residing within an ASEAN member state at the time of application.
Be professionals working in cybersecurity, digital risk, information security, technology governance, or cybersecurity-adjacent roles
Be able to participate fully in the in-person program in Cyberjaya, Malaysia
Final learners will be subject to any applicable Government of Canada review or screening processes required for participation in the program.

What will I receive after completing the program?
Upon successful completion, you will receive an official Certificate of Completion from the Women in Cyber Leadership Program and a digital badge from the Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst.
Is the program online or in person?
The program is delivered fully in person at the BlackBerry Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCoE) in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.
Can I participate in the program while working?
The program is an intensive, full-time, one-week bootcamp. Learners are expected to be fully present and engaged throughout the duration of the program. It is designed for working professionals, but participants should plan to take time away from work responsibilities during the program week.
What language is the program taught in?
All instruction and program materials will be delivered in English.
Who is this program for?
This program is designed for mid-level women professionals working in cybersecurity or adjacent fields across Malaysia and the broader Indo-Pacific region. Ideal candidates are currently managing teams, overseeing cyber or digital risk, or playing a strategic role in their organization’s security posture.
What is the cost associated with the program?
The Women in Cyber Leadership Program is offered free of charge through generous funding provided by the Government of Canada.
How many people will be selected?
Approximately 25 learners will be selected for the 2027 program cohort. The program application process can be highly competitive, participants will be selected based on sector representation, professional experience, and leadership potential.
Is there any support to cover travel associated with attending the program?
To support equitable access and enable a diverse, high-quality regional cohort, the Women in Cyber Leadership Program will offer a limited number of travel bursaries to eligible admitted learners.
Applicants will be required to indicate within their application whether they wish to be considered for travel support. Applicants are encouraged, where possible, to seek organizational support for participation-related travel costs.
The Women in Cyber Leadership Program is highly competitive. A limited number of travel bursaries will be available, and travel support decisions will be made as part of the broader admissions and cohort composition process.
All travel arrangements for supported participants will be coordinated directly by the program team. This may include:
● Economy airfare or ground transportation to and from the program location
● Hotel accommodation for the duration of the program
● Daily meals associated with program participation
Participants who are not selected for travel bursaries will be responsible for covering expenses associated with their participation and travel.
Participants arranging independent travel will be provided with recommended hotel options, logistical guidance, and opportunities to align travel arrangements with the broader cohort where feasible.
