About the Program

The Women in Cyber Leadership Program is a high-impact, in-person training initiative designed to advance the careers of women leaders in cybersecurity and digital risk across Malaysia and the Indo-Pacific.

Over five intensive days, participants will explore cybersecurity strategy, digital risk management, and executive leadership. Through lectures, panels, interactive workshops, and group projects, the program fosters the technical insight, confidence, and communication skills needed to lead in today’s evolving digital threat landscape.

Delivered in partnership by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission and BlackBerry's Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCoE), Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst, and the Government of Canada, the program builds a connected, capable, and diverse community of women leaders ready to shape the region’s cyber future.

Program Structure

Program Dates: January 26 – 30, 2026

Location: BlackBerry Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, Cyberjaya, Malaysia

Format: Fully in person, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily, with evening networking receptions and dinners on select days.

Participants will engage in sessions such as:

  • Cyber Risk & Business Impact

  • Cyber Governance & Compliance

  • Emerging Tech and AI in Cybersecurity

  • Executive Communication and Leadership Development

  • Career Journeys and Mentorship in Cyber

  • Tabletop Simulation Exercise

The program includes a certificate of completion, a synthesis project, and rich opportunities for peer learning and community building.

What will I receive after completing the program?

Upon successful completion, you will receive an official Certificate of Completion from the Women in Cybersecurity Leadership Program.

Is the program online or in person?

The program is delivered fully in person at the BlackBerry Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCoE) in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

Can I participate in the program while working?

The program is an intensive, full-time, one-week bootcamp. Learners are expected to be fully present and engaged throughout the duration of the program. It is designed for working professionals, but participants should plan to take time away from work responsibilities during the program week.

What language is the program taught in?

All instruction and program materials will be delivered in English.

Who is this program for?

This program is designed for mid-level women professionals working in cybersecurity or adjacent fields across Malaysia and the broader Indo-Pacific region. Ideal candidates are currently managing teams, overseeing cyber or digital risk, or playing a strategic role in their organization’s security posture.

What is the cost associated with the program?

The Cyber Leadership Program is free of charge thanks to the generous support of our partners.

Travel bursaries are available for ASEAN nominees selected for the program who live outside of Malaysia. ASEAN nominees will receive funding for transportation, accommodation, and daily meal allowances. We will work directly with accepted applicants to coordinate these details.

Malaysian participants will be responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation.

How many people will be selected?

The program aims to host approximately 20 learners in the inaugural cohort. Participants will be selected based on sector representation, professional experience, and leadership potential.
